Terms of use

These terms describe how Neighborbook works and what we expect when you use it. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Neighborbook is a private, invitation-based place for neighbors to share firsthand recommendations for local household and family services. It is not a public directory, marketplace, booking tool, or payment platform. There are no ads, paid rankings, or public reviews.

Accounts

• You must sign in with an email address you control, and keep your access secure.
• You may join communities only through invitations you are meant to receive.
• Information you share in a community should be accurate to the best of your knowledge and based on your own experience where you present it as such.

Your content

You keep ownership of the recommendations, requests, notes, and other content you submit. To operate the product, you give us permission to store that content and show it to members of the communities you shared it with. Community-scoped content may remain available to that community after you leave, as community knowledge — see how deletion works.

Acceptable use

Do not use Neighborbook to:

• harass, threaten, or impersonate others,
• spam communities or scrape the service,
• share someone else’s private contact details or household information outside the community where it belongs,
• attempt to bypass invitation, membership, or access controls, or
• break the law or interfere with the service.

Community administrators may remove members or moderate content in their communities. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms.

No warranties

Recommendations are members’ firsthand opinions, not endorsements, guarantees, or professional advice from Neighborbook or thea foundry. The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for decisions you make based on community content, or for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
